REVIEW – A Tale of Three Cities by Alexander McCabe

After finally realising that they were meant for each other at the end of Greater Expectations, Z and Penny are living a blissfully happy life together. However, Penny has deep and dark secrets from her past and when they catch up with her, it throws their lives not only into turmoil but also in danger, causing them to embark on a race across the globe and against the clock to save themselves and each other.

A Tale Of Three Cities is hands down the best book I have read this year. It is very different in style to McCabe's first book and you can really see the development in his writing. Although this is the second book it can also be read as a standalone.

I was not ready to finish with the characters at the end of Greater Expectations and wanted to know what was next for Penny and Z, never would I have predicted the journey A Tale Of Three Cities would take us on. Just when you would think you knew where the book was heading it would take another twist or turn, it is such an intricately woven story that keeps you in suspense until the very last chapter.

This book will make you laugh, cry and have your heart in your mouth as it takes you on an emotional roller coaster while falling in love with the characters all over again.
