The synopsis for this novel intrigued me very much so. It also started off with a bang which I something I absolutely love in novels!
Emma the main character is a fun loving girl who has a budding career as a successful photographer and seemed bored with a life that was going nowhere really. I found myself giggling quite a few times at things that came out of Emma’s mouth and never not once did I find her annoying or over the top.
Though Adrian seems like the typical prince, defiant of his family’s wishes we quickly learn that he isn’t the predictable prince charming as we thought. There are sides of him that appear which completely surprised me but didn’t seem farfetched.
Together these two had fiery chemistry; not a scene was written that fell flat between them. I could picture them together, in hiding, as if I was watching a romantic comedy on Netflix.
I also enjoyed the well placed jokes and quirks. The handful of romantic scenes made me smile. I found the story light and charming with moments of grandeur that warmed my heart. The supporting characters where instantly likeable and had fantastic chemistry with the main characters Adrian and Emma. I can’t wait to get onto the second book in this series!
